Brokers.wang is an independent directory of forex, CFD and multi-asset brokers. This page explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have under the GDPR and similar laws such as the UK GDPR. Last updated: 31 August 2026.
1. Who we are
Brokers.wang ("we", "us") operates this website as an independent editorial directory. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site. For any privacy question, contact privacy@brokers.wang.
2. What we collect
- Consent record. When you choose cookie settings, we store a small record (which categories you allowed and the time) in your browser's local storage. This is not sent to our servers.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider may automatically log standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, date/time) to keep the site secure and available. These logs are retained only as long as needed for security and are not used to build advertising profiles.
- Referral information. If you arrive via a partner or affiliate link, the destination broker may receive a referral identifier. We do not receive or store your trading account details.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we process the content of your message and your email address solely to reply.
3. Legal basis for processing
- Strictly necessary cookies & security logs: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Analytics cookies: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given through the banner.
- Marketing / referral memory: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Reply to your email: performance of a request / legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)/(f)).
4. Cookies we use
You can withdraw or change consent at any time via Cookie Settings in the footer, or by clearing this site's local storage in your browser.
5. Affiliate & sponsored content disclosure
Some broker links are "Sponsored" and are affiliate links. If you open an account through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not affect our editorial ratings. Every affiliate link routes through an intermediate disclosure page that shows the destination before you leave.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, rectify inaccuracies, erase your data, restrict processing, object to processing, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email privacy@brokers.wang. Because we store almost no personal data server-side, most controls (consent, theme) are already in your own browser via Cookie Settings.
7. International transfers & retention
We do not intentionally transfer personal data outside the EEA except where a broker's own site does so under its own policy after you click through. Consent records live only in your browser. Server logs are retained for as long as security requires, then deleted.

We may update this page. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
